Head of English Teacher
I am Lisette C. Jimenez. I hold a bachelor degree in Secondary Education, and I thoroughly enjoy working with children and encourage creative expression, active learning and group participation. I have 3 years’ experience in teaching Kindergarten and General English Program at Stamford International Academy. I have been teaching special needs students at My Little Pumpkin International Preschool for the last 2 years. I do believe that teaching is a noble profession because it touches the heart of every individual, shaping their young minds, developing the children’s spirit to awaken them to the discovery of the world and make a difference in their lives. Teaching special needs students is very challenging. But it is also rewarding for me when I see them learn and grow as an individual. It has been uplifting to see their growth and little personalities shining through. I can feel this fulfillment in my heart that gives me the zeal to work harder.
As I continue my teaching career, I attended different trainings and workshops such as Massive Open Online Course, Professional Development for teachers, TESOL, English Proficiency Workshop and currently I am taking up “Integrating Critical Thinking Skills into the Exploration of Culture in an EFL Setting” course.
